The Eva Demaya Centre, located in Luviri, Rumphi District in northern Malawi, is a rural health and development centre committed to improving lives through accessible healthcare and sustainable community support.

Health Care Services

We provide comprehensive healthcare through both Western medicine, Traditional African Medicine and complementary medicine.

Key services include:
• Outpatient care
• Maternity, antenatal and postnatal services
• HIV/AIDS testing and ARV treatment
• Malaria diagnostics and early infant diagnostics
• Ambulance services for emergency referrals
• Family planning and immunisation
• Nutrition support and under-five care
• Traditional African Medicine
• Community-based homeopathy outreach and training

Education

  • Our Daycare, Preschool and Nursery School provide education for school readiness and two nutritious meals daily to approx 80 children from unprivileged backgrounds in the immediate community.
  • The children are nurtured in a loving, safe environment that builds foundations for learning and development.
  • We furthermore provide Community Training & Empowerment, as well as, Staff Development & Capacity Building.

Community Engagement

We support vulnerable individuals and respond to urgent needs through:

1. Emergency medical referrals

  • Emergency medical referrals (e.g. paediatric cardiac care, cataract surgeries).

2. Food Relief

• Food Relief to vulnerable groups, including:

  • Malnourished children.
  • Seriously ill patients.
  • People living with HIV.
  • Elderly individuals in need.
  • Child-headed households.
  • Food packages include enriched flour mixes and baby formulas like Lactogen 1 & 2.
  • Assisting families in dire need with essentials such as food, soap, and blankets.

3. Sports and Youth Empowerment

  • Sports and Youth Empowerment through support and sports gear to the Eva Demaya Football and Netball Teams.
